Aperture:f/5.6
Focal Length:135mm
ISO:800
Shutter:1/2 sec
Camera:NIKON D80

Photographed @ my rooftop in Bangalore

This was a fairly well-publicised astronomical event on Dec 1, 2008 – the conjunction of the moon with Venus and Jupiter.

Had to use a tripod and experiment with a number of different exposures before I got this one. Some of the longer exposures I used were more accurate in capturing some wispy clouds around the moon, but they lost out when it came to effectiveness.

I had a tough time getting G. K. Vale to print this out for me. They kept rejecting this as a blank shot!
